Lawrence Zintek
Larry Zintek is a chemist at the Chicago Regional Laboratory in EPA Region 5. He has a BS in Biochemistry from Illinois Benedictine College and a PhD in Chemistry from The University of Iowa. His 22 years of experience at the EPA includes chemical analytical method development for emerging contaminants of concern such as endocrine disrupting compounds for the Office of Water, chemical threat agents for the National Homeland Security Research Center and Water Security Division, emerging pesticides for EPA and PFAS. A working relationship is maintained with the Office of Water, Office of Emergency Management and ORD labs in method development and environmental projects and studies. Presently the US EPA Chicago Regional Laboratory has many approved ASTM Standards.
