ABSTRACT

Quality controls in any environmental assay are critical. Robust quality
controls assure laboratories and their customers/data users of the
quality, reliability and usability of the data produced. During the
flurry of method development around the testing of wastewater for the
SARS CoV-2 virus (COVID) it became apparent that the multitude of method
processes could benefit from well-validated controls. This presentation
will cover the development and validation of various method controls
and how they can assure data users of the reliability and consistency of
wastewater surveillance data for public health decision making.
